Three Ingredient Brownies

Ok, in truth we are cheating a bit by using boxed brownie mix. But I count that as one ingredient because you just dump that in the bowl with the other two ingredients….so it counts as one. Thats why they are named 3 ingredient brownies!

Like I mentioned above, if you want a super fudgy brownie then this is the recipe for you! I have had a hard time making brownies as fudgy as I want them to be so I am so glad that I am able to bring this recipe to you. It’s the fudgy brownies of my dreams!

Ingredients for 3 Ingredient Brownies

Ghiradelli Brownie Mix – Normally I am not particular about brands of certain food items. However, I HIGHLY recommend getting the Ghiradelli Brand Brownie Mix. In my opinion, this is the best brownie mix on the market. Since these are 3 Ingredient Brownies, you can splurge a little on the mix!

Sweetened Condensed Milk – Sweetened Condensed Milk is exactly what it sounds like. It’s milk, that has been sweetened and condensed. If you want to learn more about how it is made I would check out this article from Bon Appétit

Egg – Just like with other recipes, the egg is the binder. It’s also adding a little extra moisture since there isn’t much liquid in this recipe!

How to Make 3 Ingredient Brownies

Making these brownies is SO EASY!

Step One – Open your brownie mix package and pour the contents into a large bowl. If you go with the Ghiradelli Brownie Mix there may be an extra packet of chocolate sauce, you will want to add that too! The more chocolate the better!

Step Two – Open your can of sweetened condensed milk, and add the entire can to your bowl of brownie mix. Yes, the whole can! I would also get a spoon, spatula, or butter knife to make sure you scrape the sides down to get all of it.

Step Three – Add your egg! Just crack it into the bowl.

Step Four – Mix! This batter is going to be on the thicker side because of the minimal ingredients. But just mix it up until there are no lumps. It takes 2-3 minutes.

Step Five – Prepare your baking dish. I used an 8×8. You will want to use the suggested sizes and baking times that are on the back of the brownie mix box.

Step Six – Put your brownies in the oven! I baked mine for about 45 minutes.

Step Seven – Let them cool down, and enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1 box Brownies Mix I prefer the Ghirardelli Brand
  • 1 can Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 1 Egg

Instructions

  • Pre heat oven to 325 (or according to the brownie mix box)
  • Prepare baking dish using spray oil, butter, or parchment paper
  • In a bowl, mix, brownie mix, can of sweetened condensed milk, and egg
  • Pour brownie mix into prepared baking dish
  • Bake for 40-45 minutes
  • Remove from oven and let cool completely before serving

Notes

  1. I like to use a combination of spray oil and parchment paper for this recipe.  These brownies can be really sticky, so you want to make sure that your baking dish is extra prepared.
  2. Let the brownies cool completely before cutting and serving.  Letting them cool helps lock in extra moisture.
  3. Use a toothpick to check the brownies for doneness if it comes out with just a little brownie on it then it’s perfect!  Trust me, it makes it extra extra fudgy this way.
