Deconstructing Super Dip At Home
Super Dip is New Recipe and is Super EASY to make at home and is the perfect recipe for a football game, Cinco De Mayo, Taco Tuesday, Family Gatherings, TV time or a pot luck! The bean mixture and the white cheese sauce make it one of my favorite Mexican Recipes ever!
Queso – That delectable White Queso dip (it’s easiest to just buy some at the grocery store). Of course, you could melt some pepper jack, monterey jack to it and then give it a dash of cream cheese and a splash of milk.
Ground Beef – This is the hearty center of the dish and every time you get a chunk of it on your chip you are excited to exclaim, Oh Boy! Ground Beef!
Refried Beans – Adds a creamy thickness for the perfect dip of deliciousness.
Green Onions and Tomatoes – give freshness and flavor to the mexican white sauce. In fact, if you have Pico on hand, that would work perfectly!
Easy Recipe Step By Step Guide for this Mexican Dip Recipe
1. Brown the Ground Beef and add some Taco Seasoning.
2. Warm the refried beans per the instructions or use my method that makes them so tasty!
3. Warm the queso and add the extra cheeses if you choose.
4. Assemble and top with Pico (or if you don’t like fresh cilantro, just use green onions and tomatoes).
Tips and Tricks
- This is one of the easiest dips, the real secret is in mastering the layering. Ground beef on the bottom, then a dollop of refried beans, then cheese and then a happy topping of Pico De Gallo.
- Melting cheese and adding to the cheese can be a trick. Be sure to put the queso in the sauce pan and then only heat over medium low heat or lower. Add cheese a little at a time, stirring well and allowing to heat through. Cut the cream cheese into smaller bits so it melts easily. Add the splashed of milk to thin down your creation if it is needed.
- I love to dress up my super dip with some additions like green chiles, hot sauce, black olives, taco sauce or a dash of chili powder. It makes a fantastic dip and even more delicious dip!
- Try substituting Chorizo for the ground beef for a delicious rendition.
- Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3-4 days.
- This is not something that will freeze well and I don’t recommend it. Besides, its so delicious, you are going to eat this easy dip right away.
- This easy mexican dip (the best bean dip you’ll ever eat) is also great with corn chips.
- Serve in a baking dish for easy warm up at a pot luck.
