STEP 1. Make sure your it is in a container you want it in. Write on the container the date you frozen it, a use by date and how many days until expired.
STEP 2. Place it in the ice box.
Can You Freeze Milk?
Yes, you can freeze milk easily but just placing it in the freezer. This does not affect the taste of the milk. You DO NEED to know that upon removing the milk from the freezer, it will still go bad and expire like any carton of milk will do. Use it within a reasonable timeframe.

How to Thaw Froze Milk
This part is for when your milk froze in the refrigerator OR when you did it yourself. Either way, you have to know how to thaw it!
Method 1:
- Remove the carton from the ice box
- Place the carton in the refrigerator.
- After 24 hours, it should be thawed.
Method 2:
- Remove the carton from the freezer
- Place in a large bowl of cool water in the sink.
- Check every 30 minutes.
- When thawed, place in the refrigerator.
How Long Does It Take Milk To Freeze?
That depends on how much you are trying to do. An entire gallon will freeze in a few hours. Milk in small amounts will be solid more quickly.
Can You Freeze Milk In The Carton?
Yes, you can. What you need to know is that it expands when frozen.

Why Did My Milk Freeze In the Fridge?
Your milk did that in the refrigerator because your fridge is a little too cold. Try turning the temp down a little. Only move the temperature range down in small increments at a time and see what happens inside your fridge. You don’t want things to be too warm in there!

The most important thing you NEVER mentioned is that you MUST MUST MUST shake the thawed milk THOROUGHLY before attempting to use it. It will taste watery and look weird. If chunks are still frozen...it needs to be COMPLETELY thawed, then shaken, before use for the best result.
