Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ’s) about Pizza Nachos

What types of cheese can I use for Pizza Nachos

I used mozzarella here, but you can use any cheese you like that will melt under the broiler. I bet even cheese slices would be good!

Can I Make My Own Pizza Sauce?

Sure! I’ve got an easy recipe right here:  Pizza Sauce. It’s only a few ingredients and you probably have them in your pantry. OR, if that doesn’t appeal to you, just use the store bought sauce. There’s probably a pizza making section in your grocery.

What kind of Baking Dish?

You can use a 9×13, 9×9 or similar size oven safe baking dish. You could also use a cookie sheet pan or even a cake pan. Virtually any pan that you can put in the oven will work.

Do I Have To Use Cheese Sauce?

You don’t HAVE to, but it sure MAKES the nachos. I recommend using my recipe for cheese sauce, but I’m supposing that something like a Tostitos Cheese sauce would be fine too.

Should I Grate My Own Cheese?

I always think that hand grated cheese has a better flavor. I could be wrong, but I don’t’t think so. Anyway, to save time, it’s fine to use store grated cheese.

What Kind Of Chips Do I Use?

Try some Tortilla Chips, Pita Chips or the large Corn Chip Scoops. These will hold up best to the heavier toppings that make up the Pizza Nachos.

What Can I Serve with My Pizza Nachos?

What can’t you serve with Pizza Nachos? These make a great game day snack! I served them before dinner as an appetizer on a night when I was serving Turkey, gravy and mashed potatoes. If you are serving pizza nachos, no one will care what you serve them with.

Consider…

Pimento Cheese Jalapeno Poppers

Pimento Cheese and Crackers

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Corn Dip!

TIPS & TRICKS for Pizza Nachos…

  1.  Use a crisp, light chip (the inexpensive Santitoes work well, or you choose!).
  2. A pizza sauce straight out of the jar is fine. Feel free to make your own as well.
  3. Add other toppings you like on pizza such as hamburger, sausage, vegetables, olives…. Get creative!
  4. It’s important to use a saucy already melted cheese PLUS shredded cheese. The sauce cheese is a wonderful surprise and what tastes SO GOOOD!

The shredded cheese gives these a good bite plus helps hold the goodies onto the chips, so use it too! Use any flavorful, hearty cheese that you enjoy and that melts well under the broiler.

When you are wondering about people different from you. People from different countries. Other people who Jesus also died for. Remember this…

Mark 12:29-31

The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’There is no commandment greater than these.

I love fast and simple recipes on football days, because I don’t want to miss any of the action onscreen, and I want to se how many times they show Taylor Swift. This recipe sounds and looks amazing. I even have low carb tortilla chips for the win. I love the cheese sauce recipe, and that will be on instant replay at my house. It’s easy and sounds delicious. I loved the chicken story. Birds are so weird sometimes. When we clean our bird girls’ cages out, the cockatiel is paralyzed with fear and won’t go in her cage, while the conure takes the opportunity to go in the cockatiel’s cage and eat some other food, which makes the cockatiel scream! Then the conure flies to her own cage and has a second snack. The silly thing is that both foods are very similar, so she isnt getting anything all that different. I think it’s just an excuse to torment her sister. They’re just like kids, only sillier. Thanks for the story and the recipes.
