- 54 oz green beans recommend Margaret Holmes Seasoned Italian
- 30 oz cream of celery soup 2 cans
- ½ cup sour cream
- 4 slices bacon cooked crispy, chopped small
- ½ cup cheddar cheese grated
- 1 tbs garlic minced
- ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 tbs worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon whole grain mustard
- 1 teaspoon white granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon fish sauce (optional - but it amps up the flavor)
- 1 tsp kosher salt (if using the Margaret Holmes seasoned beans, do not add extra salt)
- 1 tsp black pepper ground. If using the seasoned beans, do not add pepper.
- 1 ½ Cups French Fried Onions
Preheat the oven to 350 and prepare a 9x13 baking dish with non stick spray.
Mix all of the ingredients EXCEPT the french fried onions together in a large mixing bowl. Use a spatula to mix gently but well. Pour into the prepared 9x13 baking dish.
Sprinkle the french fried onions over the top
Bake for 35-45 minutes until bubbly throughout. Serve hot.
- Fry the bacon EXTRA crispy! Verging on burnt is best! You can make it in the oven to avoid the mess!
- Make sure you have everything ready to go before you start to assemble the casserole!
- Feel free to use less french fried onions, but I think they make a perfect bite and love to use LOTS!
- You'll want a really flavorful whole grain mustard. If you don't have whole grain, then try Dijon but don't do yellow mustard.
