- 6 oz hot water
- 1 teaspoon instant espresso
- sugar and cream optional
Heat water on high heat on the stove top in kettle until boiling OR use an electric kettle to heat water.
Pour 6 oz of water into a cup designed for such heat like a tea cup or mug.
Add 1 teaspoon of instant espresso and stir until dissolved.
- Make sure to stir the powder into the hot water very well.
- Add sugar or cream to sweeten or to lighten the flavor slightly.
- Add more water if it is just too strong for you.
- Some folks enjoy a small bit of hot chocolate powder added in (but then, it isn't really espresso anymore, but who is telling?).
- Add more or less flavor by adding more or less mix.
