- 3 lb chuck roast
- 1 packet bake in bag pot roast by McCormic
- ⅓ Cup Water
- 4 Cups vegetables optional
Preheat the oven to 325
Mix the packet of seasoning with ⅓ cup of water until well blended.
Place the bag in a baking dish. Place the roast into the baking bag. Put vegetables on top if using vegetables.
Pour the seasoning mix over the roast
Seal the bag loosely with the enclosed tie. Cut 4 small holes into the top of the bag with the knife.
Bake for 2 hours. Remove from the oven and allow to rest for 5 minutes. Cut the bag open and serve or remove the plastic bag and use 9x13 dish as a serving dish.
- If you are going to use veggies, don't use more than 4 cups.
- Place the veggies on top of the roast and put the seasoning on the veggies and the roast.
- It's ok if you don't have exactly 2-3 lbs of roast beef. Just don't pile the meat on top of each other if it's more than noted. If it is smaller, check it before the 2 hours and if falling apart then it's done.
