Sugar Cookie Syrup

Equipment

  • 1 sauce pot
  • 1 spatula

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon Almond Extract
  • ½ teaspoon Butter Extract
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract

Instructions

  • Add water, sugar, and extracts to your sauce pot
  • Stir to combine
  • Place on stove on medium heat and simmer for 20 minutes, stir occasionally
  • Remove from stove and let cool
  • Store in an air tight container in the fridge for up to two weeks

Notes

  • The longer you simmer the syrup the thicker it will become.  For a thinner syrup only simmer for 12-15 minutes
  • Almond extract is very strong, so be careful when adding it
  • Play around with different extracts to make different kinds of "cookie" syrups!
